Buy craft beer directly from local breweries

At Love Our Craft we support not only our local craft brewers, but all brewers across the British Isles, we promote those craft brewers nearest to you so that you buy the best local craft beer directly from the brewers themselves, and the craft breweries in your area benefit from the support of local beer lovers. During the pandemic we saw the effect lockdown had on our favourite craft producers in our local town of Swansea, Wales, and desperately wanted to help them. According to SIBA’s report of UK Craft breweries, 70% of craft brewers are now offering delivery or takeaway services, and perhaps unsurprisingly, online sales have risen by 55%. That rise has forced brewers to become tech savvy whether they like it or not. That understanding although needs to extend far beyond just building a website, further even than finding an account with Shopify to start an online store. Why? Because simply being online doesn’t mean people find a site, let alone buy from a site.  To make an online e-commerce site work the craft brewer must learn or hire experts to market their business. There are vast depths to Search Engine Optimisation behind the scenes that need to compliment the social media stage. While most have learned and adapted under extremely difficult conditions, this hasn’t been natural for some, and not all are thriving.

That’s why we built the marketplace, Love Our Craft, to provide a platform for craft brewers to get up and running online with zero upfront cost and a barrel full of help from us. They benefit from our expertise of building ecommerce sites, of creating a strong community online presence, making them more visible not only to local craft beer lovers but also those across Britain. Together we can help support the craft brewers that need us most, to come back stronger out of the pandemic and continue to produce wonderful local craft beer.

It’s easy to see the effect the pandemic has had on the food and beverage industry, the closures in Wales alone are dramatic and saddening, despite bars and restaurants now reopening. There is a real concern that craft brewers might not see the demand for their produce needed to stay open, let alone recover, for a very long time. That’s because the establishments who previously stocked their produce are themselves in financial difficulty, and simply can’t afford to stock the range of products they once did. There is a long way to go and a lot of support is needed for the craft beer industry to recover. SIBA have further called for urgent action to save our pubs and breweries. We at Love Our Craft have joined the fight, ensuring that all sales made via our online craft beer marketplace go directly to the brewers themselves, instantly, with no need to wait on invoices being paid, or chasing payments. Rest assured that your purchase goes directly to the person making the brew, ensuring they continue to do what they enjoy with the passion and craftsmanship that we love them for!

Iechyd da!

Beleaguered Basil with Beck Helles Lager from Fell Brewery

July 04 2021 @ 12:39 Craft Beer Stories

Craft beer review: Beck, Helles Lager from Fell Brewery - My basil plant is depressed. The coriander is fine, it seems to have thrived in the patch I allotted it and has developed a cloud of plumage that only seems to taunt the basil next to it. The mint in the corner seems oblivious to both as it sniffs around, sending creepers to explore its new environment.

What is craft beer

What is craft beer

June 13 2021 @ 13:53 UK Breweries

What is craft beer? The illusive definition of what Craft is in relation to beer, and even the wider drinks industry, which in itself poses a difficult question in terms of what Craft is: for example, can Craft be extended to cider, or even whisky?

History of beer in Wales

May 20 2021 @ 17:48 Wales

History of beer in Wales: As the Craft Brewing scene booms in Wales as it does across the United Kingdom, with Craft Breweries popping up and producing top quality, interesting and intriguing new Craft beer, and with Wales stereotypically thought of as a beer loving nation, we found ourselves considering the history of beer and brewing in Wales which led to the rise of the Craft brewing industry itself
